Are you taking new clients?

Dr. Schwartzman is currently taking new clients.

Dr. Hyland will begin taking new clients in early November and is currently adding interested clients to a waitlist to follow up with in mid-October.

Do you take insurance?

Dr. Schwartzman accepts Aetna insurance in the state of Ohio.

Otherwise, our service rates are private pay. At the end of each month, we will provide you with a superbill that includes the dates and service codes of each appointment for you to submit to your insurance company, should you choose to. If you are seeking to be reimbursed by your insurance company, we recommend calling to see if your current plan covers out-of-network providers.

Are you seeing clients in person?

We provide in-person and telehealth appointments.

Dr. Schwartzman’s in-person appointments are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Dr. Hyland's in-person appointments are scheduled on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  

Do you practice full-model/ adherent DBT?

Dr. Schwartzman provides individual DBT with phone coaching between sessions. She does not provide DBT skills training at this time. If you are someone seeking DBT skills training, or if skills training is clinically indicated, she will refer you to a DBT skills training group in your community, and I will work closely with your skills trainer during the duration of your treatment.

In which States are you licensed to practice?

Dr. Hyland is licensed to practice in the state of Ohio.

Dr. Schwartzman is licensed to practice in the states of Ohio, Massachusetts, and states that participate in PSYPACT.

What is PSYPACT?

"The Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT®) is an interstate compact designed to facilitate the practice of telepsychology and the temporary in-person, face-to-face practice of psychology across state boundaries.” (https://psypact.gov/page/About)

Dr. Schwartzman is licensed to provide telehealth treatment to individuals living in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey,  North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

If Dr. Schwartzman is located in Ohio, and I live in Massachusetts or a PSYPACT state, do I need to be in the state of Massachusetts or my PSYPACT state during our telehealth sessions?

Yes. Dr. Schwartzman can only see clients who are physically located in Ohio, Massachusetts, or a PSYPACT state.

Even though Dr. Schwartzman will be located in Ohio, if you are a Massachusetts or PSYPACT client, you must be in the state of Massachusetts or a PSYPACT state for the duration of our session.
